Fourth Letter to My Little One

Below is our fourth letter, written the day we went to hear our child's heartbeat for the first time! Words can not express how great that moment is. That moment is also very shocking, as the reality begins to sink in that you have created life! Enjoy!

My Little One,

It was the tiniest thing I ever decided to put my whole life into.
~ Terri Guillemets

Today, your father and I both went to your first appointment. We are now 10 weeks pregnant! During this visit, we were blessed to hear your heartbeat. It was beating so quickly at 164 beats per minute. It was one of the best moments that your father and I have ever had and the reality that you will become a part of our world became that much more real for us.

After our appointment, we went to a celebratory lunch where we both had cheeseburgers and fries. We also sent a text to our families letting them all know how well our appointment went. When lunch was over, both your father and I returned to work in one of the best moods we could have been in! You have already begun to change our lives little one!
Love You Always,

Mommy and Daddy

Third Letter to My Little One

This letter was written to our unborn child just after we told our immediate family about our news! Words cannot express how much fun a couple can have sharing their news and excitement with their loved ones! There are so many ways to share this news. We chose to use Skype and traditional phone calls (we were too excited to keep the news to ourselves any longer). How did you share your news?

Here is our letter to our little one:

10/4/12

My Little One,

"We find delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Mommy is now 8 weeks pregnant with you and we decided to tell our immediate family. What a blessing it was to share our exciting news with others. Daddy doesn’t normally do well with keeping secrets and Mommy was so proud of him for keeping this secret for so long.

We asked Grandma and Grandpa on your Mommy’s side if they would be able to Skype. Mommy, Daddy, Maggie, and Wes were all on the camera while Mommy showed Grandma and Grandpa a pregnancy test and asked them if they knew what it was. Both Grandparents were very excited. Feeding off of this excitement, we then called Grandma and Grandpa on your Daddy’s side and all your aunts and uncles. Guesses were already being made if you are a boy or girl, with majority guessing girl.

Mommy’s birthday was on 10/1 and Mommy and Daddy decided to tell Great Grandma and Grandpa when they called to wish Mommy happy birthday. This threw all of these family members for a loop, as no one expected it!

Celebrating the news about you has brought on many emotions little one, from tears of joy to laughter to sheer happiness. Your family loves you and can’t wait to meet you.

Love You Always,
Mommy and Daddy
