April Recap

Somehow, I managed to get a few posts done in April so I think that made it harder for me to get my recap post up. It's been awhile since I have gotten so much done on here. So... I am going to keep this short and simple and let the pictures talk for themselves (for the most part).

Our oldest baby had kindergarten roundup! She is so ready but I could so cry just thinking about it. Didn't I just bring her home from the hospital? We were still deciding between schools so she made it to 2 different round ups and had a blast at both. After her first round up, her father and I took her to a special pancake breakfast to celebrate. I just can't blink, she's growing up before my eyes.
Our little miss also celebrated a birthday. She keeps our life so fun. Despite having to cancel our plans to travel and meet up with family to celebrate, she made the most of her time celebrating with our little family. We still went big and did a party for her at our house. She continues to say each year that "this was her best birthday ever." We are so thankful for her grateful heart.
I took the boys to the park one day this month while Payton had gymnastics. These 2 had so much fun and are also growing up too quickly for me. It's almost painful to think about how fast time flies.

Talk about growing up! Jayden is our little mover and always up to something (see the expression in the above picture to confirm). He isn't walking full-time yet but I think that's just because he can crawl faster. He will practice walking throughout the day but it seems to be during quieter moments, aka when he doesn't have siblings he is trying to keep up with. Whenever I have my phone out, he will crawl up into our chairs and say, "cheese." He keeps our hearts so full.
We celebrated Easter at home this year and got to enjoy all the local activities. I talked about that more here if you missed it!
We wrapped up soccer and are still loving on our chickens! We thought Riley may be a little too young for soccer but he kept us entertained with his constant waving at us and trying to take pictures of his sister any time he was put on the bench:
Speaking of Riley, he is all farm boy. He loves tractors and being outside and reading about farms:
Both of our big kids are super interested in our chickens. They have been taking notebooks outside to observe chickens. Payton spent one afternoon trying to solve the mystery of "what our chickens need from her?" She came to the conclusion that they needed her to feed and water them and check for eggs.
I have mentioned before that we are in the middle of kitchen renovations. That is still happening. We have recruited our kids to help us as well at times:
We're hoping to make them realize the value of hard work. And they are still young enough to think work is super fun.

We hope you had a great April! Now, on to May!
