Spring Break 2026

This year for spring break we went to Colorado!

Colorado Springs to be more exact. And, we stayed at Great Wolf Lodge. The kids were thrilled for this trip.
We also went with friends and here is the whole crew of kids:
The trip was just full of so much going on at all times. There was always something to do. we had one day where we hit up the arcade:
And so much swimming! We went every day for hours at a time.
All 3 of my big kids loved to climb the rock wall:
Avery loved story time and art each day:
The kids all worked hard on a magic quest with wands inside Great Wolf Lodge. I got this picture outside with some of them, all holding their wands:
Jayden was the first of our 3 to complete the first game and become a magi:
Avery was convinced the toy banana she brought with her in her backpack (she packed) was her wand. She used this banana the whole trip as her magic wand and her siblings helped to keep the magic going for her.

Avery with Harrison:
We got lucky and Avery napped... well one day, at least! But, I will take it!
The picture taken after the mom race. I got 3rd out of 4!
The obstacle course in the air was also fun. Avery was convinced she could catch her daddy if he fell:

Kids yoga class was a blast and we made it 2 mornings:
We got out one afternoon for hiking at the Garden of the Gods. Monte went to the hotel with Avery and Jayden so they could rest but Riley, Payton, and I went with the rest of the group. It was so pretty there. Behind the kid are rocks that look like kissing camels and that is its name:
We saw a guy painting a picture of the mountain in front of us:
Payton tried to lift the rock:
Harrison and Riley admiring one of the rocks:
The group that went hiking, not all in our group were there. We missed a few families and partial of another family and mine:
Climbing between the rocks:
A selfie of Payton:
By our parked vehicles there was a guy with an iguana. He talked to the kids all about his iguana and caring for her:
The kids that went hiking:
Payton asked for pictures everywhere:

A picture I got with my kids that hiked:

We spent one morning in Manitou. The kids played Skeeball and all sorts of arcade games (for 25-50 cents and some penny and nickel slots).

Avery loved the ice cream truck ride:
Then we made the long trip back home and spent the rest of our break being home. And, that is really where it is at, too! I have been able to catch up on laundry and get a little ahead for meals for this week as we all return back to the work and school routine!

Spring break 2026 was good to us! We are thankful for this trip and the memories we have made.
