Jayden celebrated his birthday in December.
His big day is right smack in the middle of one of the busiest months for our family. Right between the school band/choir concert, school parties and just before Christmas, one of our favorite holidays. His day sits exactly where he wants it. It is so entirely him. He is soaking it all in and loves to be a part of the chaos and noise.
Our family worked hard to give him an extra special birthday day. He woke up to a special pancake breakfast complete with candles. He took special treats to school. And then, that weekend, he had a special party with his family and friends. I even made the cake:
We swam at the ymca, sang Happy Birthday, and watched Jayden celebrate being himself. It was overall a great time. I was so glad to be there for it.
Jayden,
No one lives life like you do and there is absolutely no one else out there like you. You are so unique. You are so loved. Go on and march to your own beat. Happiness looks good on you. Just don't leave me in the dust.
I'll always be cheering you on.
Love,
Mom
